Hello, World! I’m Margaret Savoy

I am your guide through the chaotic, beautiful, and ever-so-intriguing landscape of life’s adventures and misadventures. Welcome to my little corner of the internet where words flow as freely as rivers across diverse terrains. My blog is a potpourri of my passions: the art of traveling, the science of geography, the precision of mapping, and occasionally, a sprinkle of politics to keep things spicy. Oh, and for those daring enough to join me, I’ll venture into the hallowed halls of religion now and again. Yes, we’re touching all the bases of conversation starters that your mother warned you about at dinner parties.

As a freelancer, my life is as unanchored as a cloud, drifting wherever the winds of curiosity blow. More travel means more stories, and boy, do I have tales to tell! However, life threw a curveball my way with a cancer diagnosis. This unwelcome guest has tethered me closer to home here in Houston, TX, more often than I’d like. But don’t you worry, I’m as resilient as they come. My adventures continue, albeit in shorter 2 to 3-week bursts, sandwiched between treatments. I’m battling cancer with a smile and a thumbs-up, all while planning my next escape. Because hey, cancer is just a part of my journey, not the end of it.

Take a gander to the right, and you’ll catch a glimpse into my treasure trove of joys and wonders. At the pinnacle, you’ll spot a quirky, cartoon rendition of yours truly, often caught in a delightful daydream. Just below, marvel at the iconic Charles Bridge and the frothy, blissful brews of Prague – a true ode to my wanderlust spirit. Then, there’s the majestic Vatican City, a testament to my occasional dives into the divine. And let’s not forget the pièce de résistance: the mouthwatering, soul-comforting pizza that only Italy can offer. But wait, there’s more! This blog will unfurl a tapestry of my cherished delights, one post at a time. So, stick around, and let’s savor these favorites together, shall we?

Curiosity didn’t just kill the cat; it made for a great conversation starter. So, if you’ve got questions, comments (play nice, folks!), or even a topic you’re itching to hear about, drop me a line. My inbox is always open, and I’m all ears. Let’s make this blog a little nook of the internet where all topics are on the table, and every voice is heard.
